AUTISM: THE GIFT IN THE CURSE is our flagship documentary.
A shortform film about the realities of living with autism, right from the horse's mouth.
Award-winning autistic artist LOVEARTPIX received a very late diagnosis of autism at 41 years old,
after being misdiagnosed bipolar at 20.
We've followed him for almost 5 years, discovering how day-to-day life affects him,
alongside the misunderstandings and stigma that can still surround autism.
The film avoids presenting autism as either a limitation or a superpower.
Instead, it sits in the middle ground where real lives are lived,
where the difficulties and the strengths are inseparable.
Through honest conversations and moments of both frustration and joy,
the documentary asks what it really means to be autistic today,
and why society has got the support for neurodivergence so, so wrong.

AUTISM: THE GIFT IN THE CURSE sits exactly at the intersection of what Eklectics was built to do. It's a subject-led documentary, rooted in lived experience, handled with care and driven by a clear social purpose - not spectacle, not trend, but truth.
The film demanded years of patience, building trust, and a disciplined documentary approach to storytelling, balancing emotional honesty with cinematic craft. It reflects our core philosophy: that important human stories deserve proper filmmaking, and that documentary work can create real-world impact beyond the screen.
In many ways, this isn't just a project in our portfolio.
It's a statement of intent about the kind of stories we choose to tell,
and the standard to which we hold ourselves.
Serious stories start with bold decisions.
If you want work that carries weight, it begins with a conversation worth having.
